during the DLSAA World Congress. Other MANCOM officers are

| BRIEF HISTORICAL POINTS
- 1911 arrival in Manila of nine Brothers of the Christian
schools and established the first De La Salle school in the Philippines
- October 31, 1916, signing of the first known Articles of
Incorporation of the De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA)

1915 saw the first high school graduates of De La Salle College
- June 28, 1936 - First Silver Jubilee year
- 1960 -
First annual alumni mass for deceased members and more notably, held the
1st Lasallian Alumni World Congress in Rome
- 1961 First
Golden Jubilee year
- June 17, 1961 marked the official
alumni homecoming until the change
- In 1961 18 carefully
chosen pre-war alumni were given plaques for outstanding achievements
- Also in 1961, the DLSAA rechristened its official publication,
De La Salle Alumni Newsbriefs to De La Salle Alumnews currently,
DLSAA Alumnews - De La Salle College Alma Mater Hymn,
was formally sung for the first time during the graduation rites of HS
’64
- 1968 graduation of the last high school class from
DLSC Taft, the “Last of the Mighty”
- 1973 acceptance of the
first 38 female students; 1977 graduates female students

1981 Start of the tri-semester system; 1984 first batch of graduates
- 1993 first Sports Hall of Fame induction honoring 11
outstanding Lasallian alumni athletes
- 1997 “Beat Brother
Ben” golf tournament, fronted by Batches ’72 & ‘73 as a tribute to
Br. Benedict
- 2003 launch of the while-you-wait card
release
- 2004 maiden run of the annual golf cup, the DLSAA
Br. Benedict Cup
