| As stated in the DLSAA by-laws, the World Congress is held
as a reunion of DLSAA chapters and as a venue to elect the Association's
President and the Vice-President for Finance and Treasurer.
The incumbent Board of Directors of the DLSAA and the Presidents of the
other Philippine and overseas chapters who are not members of the Board
shall elect the President and the Vice-President for Finance and
Treasurer. This meeting shall be held at a meeting called for this
purpose by the outgoing President, who is ex-officio a Board member, or
Executive Director with at least five (5) Board members. The DLSAA Board
of Directors has decided that the election of officers should coincide
with the DLSAA World Congress.
After his election, the new
President will declare his desired vice-presidents who shall be elected
by the Board from the remaining members. The Board shall likewise
appoint the Executive Director and Corporate Secretary.
The
Executive Officers of the DLSAA shall be the following:
- President
- Executive Director
- Vice-Presidents (the number of whom shall be
appointed by the President and approved by the Board of Directors but
one of whom must be a Vice-President for Finance and Treasurer)
- Corporate Secretary (who need not be a
member of the Board of Directors and who must be a lawyer)
