The DLSAA CLA Chapter Board of Trustees spent the morning of December 10, 2022 at the De La Salle University-Laguna Campus. The Trustees, incumbent President, Herbert Tuason, Immediate Past President, Noel Leyco, Vice President, Arlyn Cheng, Secretary, Karen Hebron, Treasurer, Josephine See-Yap, and Trustee, Vjohn Dizon resolved to revive the Chapter as we all strive to come out of this pandemic strong and be of value and service to the CLA Alumni.

It was a blessed visit to the Santuario de La Salle where we venerated St. La Salle’s relic and had Mass with parents of the LINGAP Scholars of the De La Salle University-Integrated School.

The LINGAP Scholarship Program was established by Dr. Estrella “Telly” Castañeda AFSC in 2005 providing full scholarships from High School to College to top Grade 6 graduating students from partner public schools in Laguna and Cavite. The presence of the scholars’ parents at Mass with us was a strong reminder of the Mission every Lasallian commits to.

We also visited the buildings on campus, many of which have been donated in full or in part by DLSU Alumni such as the  Milagros Del Rosario Bldg, the new St. Matthew’s Gym, the John Gokongwei Innovation Center, the George Ty Advanced Instrumentation Building and the Richard Lee Engineering and Technology Block where we had our meeting and lunch.

We certainly got what we came for!  We all left feeling invigorated and inspired.
