Br. Rolando Dizon FSC was Chairman of the Commission on Higher Education from March 2003 to September 2004, a member of the Consultative Commission on Charter Change from September to October 2005, President of De La Salle University and the De La Salle University System from 1998–2003 as well as Director-at-Large of the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines from 1998 to 2003 and Acting Brother Visitor of the De La Salle Brothers in the Philippines from 1976 to 1977, In 2006, Br. Roly was given the Distinguished Lasallian Award by the DLSAA. Also in March 2007, he was inducted in the DLSAA Sports Hall of Fame for his outstanding and generous contributions to national school sports in which he founded various local, regional and international tournaments. The National University Games (UniGames), a national collegiate sports competition in the Philippines, was a brainchild of Br. Roly. He worked for the revival of the CHED National Palaro was responsible for the creation of the University of St. La Salle (USLS) Varsity Sports Office and Coliseum.
