Joaquin “Quinito” M. Henson graduated from De La Salle University in 1973 with a degree in AB-BSC. He is a sports journalist for the Philippine star since the 1980s and a color commentator for the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and for the Philippine Broadcast of the National Basketball Association (NBA) finals. In 2004 he was awarded by the Philippine Olympic Committee the first ever Olympism award for excellence in Journalism and in 2005 he received the first Philippine Catholic Mass Media Award in the sports column category.
