ZANDRO P. LIMPOT, JR. AB Humanities 1993 Basketball Zandro “The Main Man” Limpot, Jr. lorded over the UAAP league all throughout his college years. He played for the Green Archers team that won back-to-back men’s basketball championships in 1989 and 1990. He also became a rare three-time MVP awardee. As an amateur, he won the MVP awards in the 1990 and 1992 Maharlika Cup and Championship in the Philippine Amateur Basketball League (now the Philippine Basketball League) with Magnolia Ice Cream. He had numerous stints in the National Team including the dominant 1991 SEA Games Gold Medal Team and was later named as one of the 12 greatest PBL products, collectively dubbed as "PBL Legacy" Jun entered the PBA in 1993 and won the Rookie of the Year honor. In 1998, he was chosen as one of the members of the Centennial Team that placed third in the Bangkok Asian Games. Jun would wait until his final playing year before winning that elusive PBA title when he helped Purefoods snatch the 2005-2006 Philippine Cup before retiring after the league's 31st season. In 2012, he came back to his alma mater as Assistant Coach to the Men’s basketball team that won back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013. He was inducted into the DLSAA Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
