DLSU Chorale in Chicago
May 27, 2010 – DLSAA Midwest hosted the DLSU Chorale who are in Chicago for a week as part of their US-European Tour. The first day in city, the group did a courtesy call at the Philippine Consulate and met the new Consul General Leo Herrera-Lim. After the meeting, the group sang during Asian American Festival at Daley Plaza, at the Rizal Center and at Zhou B Art Center. The following day before their concert, they represented the Philippines in an Asian American parade in Skokie, IL. Later that evening, the group performed in a concert organized by DLSAA Midwest where they performed a medley of Filipino music. The group also performed during the alumni mass at the Cenacle Retreat Center and during the visit at La Salle Brothers house in the south side of Chicago. Their last night in Chicago, DLSAA Midwest treated the group to a farewell dinner at Little Quiapo Restaurant. The group left for New York as the last leg of the North American part of their tour.
