Starting out as a Furnace Engineer at the Manila
Glass Plant at SMPP in 1973, Nepomuceno quickly
made a name for himself in his field. By 1984, he
became Technical Engineering Directorate for
SMPP, then Senior Assistant Vice-President and
Business Manager of the Plant Manager’s Office
at the Manila Glass Plant of SMPP. In 1998, he
became Vice-President & Business Operations
General Manager for SMPP’s Division Office.
In 2007, he served as Senior Vice-President
of Corporate Manufacturing (CM) at SMC.
Nepomuceno was also Chief Technology Officer
of SMC. He was responsible for technology,
engineering environment and water management
safety.
Nepomuceno established new plant facilities
for San Miguel’s beer packaging, as well as food
and other beverages for both domestic and
international markets.
Aside from that, Nepomuceno has served in
many positions at various SMC Subsidiaries.
This includes chairman of San Miguel Shipping &
Lighterage (SMCSL), president of the San Miguel
Logistics Asia Corporation (SMLAC), and director of
SMITS, the Information Technology group for SMC.
His recent awards include Outstanding Chemical
Engineer of the Year awarded by the Philippine
Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) in 2014. In
2018, Nepomuceno won the Ulirang Ama Awards
for Business and Industry by the Ulirang Ama
Awards Foundation Inc.
