| Carlos J. Valdes, father of its current and past Presidents, Johnny, Gabby and Butch A.S. Valdes, passed away November 8, 2008. Mr. Valdes would have been 89 years old on Nov. 10.
At La Salle, Mr. Valdes was a former teacher, accountant, basketball player, President of the Alumni Association and was recently awarded the highest Lasallian lay award which is the Associate FSC (AFSC). He has given so much to the institution. Please keep him in your prayers.
His remains lie in state at the National Shrine of the Divine Child (NSDC), La Salle Green Hills until Wednesday, Nov 12, 2008.
A sponsored mass by the DLSAA and the DLSU Development and Alumni Relations Office will be scheduled on Tuesday, Nov 11, 7pm at the LSGH NSDC.
Eternal life grant unto Ambassador Carlos Valdes' soul, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace, Amen. |
