A New Chapter of Lasallian Leadership: DLSAA Welcomes First Woman President and New Executive Committee
In a solemn yet spirited celebration of faith and leadership, the De La Salle Alumni Association, Inc. (DLSAA) held the Formal Induction of its newly elected Executive Committee Officers last June 26, 2025, at the De La Salle University – Manila. The event, graced by Bro. Bernard Oca, FSC, President of De La Salle University, marked not only a ceremonial transition but also a renewed commitment to Lasallian values of service, excellence, and nation-building.
The induction commenced with a Thanksgiving Mass, reflecting the community’s deep spiritual roots and its unceasing gratitude for the gift of leadership. With hymns echoing across the historic chapel and alumni gathered in solidarity, the occasion was more than just a change in officers—it was a reaffirmation of purpose.
Among the highlights of the evening was the historic oath-taking of Atty. Christine P. Base, the first officially elected woman president of the De La Salle Alumni Association. A respected legal practitioner and Lasallian through and through, Atty. Base brings a new chapter of inclusive leadership and dynamic engagement to the forefront.
Joining her in leading the DLSAA for the 2025–2027 term are equally distinguished professionals and leaders:
- Prof. Randolph I. Nonato – Internal Vice-President, Immediate Past President
- Mr. Augusto Jose T. Palileo – External Vice-President
- Ms. Maria Aileen R. Abiva – Treasurer
- Atty. Luis S. Clemente – Corporate Secretary
Together, the new Executive Committee embodies a rich blend of experience, passion, and a deep sense of responsibility to the thousands of Lasallian alumni they now represent.
The DLSAA has long been a pillar of connection among Lasallian alumni—not only as a network of professional support but as a continuing reminder of the core Lasallian values of faith, service, and communion in mission. With this new leadership, the Association sets its sights on revitalizing alumni engagement, expanding mentorship and outreach programs, and fostering unity across generations of graduates.
As the DLSAA charts its course under the guidance of its new Executive Committee, it does so with a renewed spirit of Animo, the Lasallian zeal for excellence, faith-driven action, and national service. The path ahead is filled with opportunities to uplift, unite, and serve. In every endeavor, the DLSAA remains steadfast in its mission: to build a stronger, more connected Lasallian alumni community, ever committed to living out the Lasallian promise, not just within the walls of the university, but in the broader world that so urgently needs it.
Live Jesus in our hearts… forever. ANIMO LA SALLE!
