Yuletide 2024 Christmas Eve Message
Delivered by Prof. Randolph I. Nonato, the President of the De La Salle Alumni Association during the Christmas Eve Eucharistic Celebration at DLSU
A blessed evening and Merry Christmas to all the members of our beloved Lasallian community—the De La Salle Brothers, students, alumni, faculty, staff, families, and friends.
On this sacred night, as we gather in the light of the Christmas star, we are reminded of the profound message of hope, love, and renewal that the birth of Christ brings to our hearts and homes. This season of joy calls us to reflect on the true essence of our Lasallian mission—faith, service, and communion in the spirit of generosity and compassion.
The year 2024 has been one of both challenge and growth for our community. Together, we have faced trials that tested our strength and celebrated milestones that reminded us of the boundless grace we share as Lasallians. Through every triumph and tribulation, we have stood united, guided by the light of our faith and the enduring values passed down to us by St. John Baptist de La Salle.
Tonight, as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, let us be grateful for the countless blessings that surround us—the gift of family, the warmth of friendship, and the unwavering spirit of generosity that continues to uplift our schools, universities, and communities.
Christmas is not only a time of celebration but also of action. As Lasallians, we are called to mirror Christ’s love through service to others. Let this season ignite in us a renewed commitment to be beacons of hope for the marginalized, champions of justice, and bearers of peace in a world yearning for compassion.
May we continue to embody the Lasallian virtues of humility, faith, and zeal in the coming year, and may our collective efforts reflect the transformative power of a community bound by love and shared purpose.
As we gather around the Eucharistic table tonight, let us open our hearts to the wonder of this holy night. May the peace and joy of Christmas fill your homes and may the love of Christ guide your path into the new year.
On behalf of the De La Salle Alumni Association, I wish you and your families a blessed Christmas and a joyful, grace-filled New Year.
Live Jesus in our hearts, forever.
