February of this year, my LSGH 70 class celebrated its 50th year. Little did we know then what was going to happen the following month. First week of March was our DLSU annual homecoming. Little did we know what was going to happen a week after. We will soon be entering our 6th month of lockdown. How did six months pass so quickly?

High school life was academic-as-usual for Bacolod City native Alphonse Joshua Brillantes. One who was never complacent, he pressured himself to ace his academics out of a genuine zeal to repay his parents for their hard work.

June 20, marked the 50th Anniversary of Br. Vic’s perpetual profession as a De La Salle Brother. This milestone was celebrated in community with the De La Salle Lipa Brothers where Br. Vic is currently assigned. He lives in Community with Brothers Emong, Justine, Mawel, Dante, Weegee, Mario, and Bobby.
Last March 7, 2020, after the alumni Homecoming Mass, the DLSAA honors its probably the oldest living alumnus. He turned 100 years old last December 14, 2019 and is celebrating his 80th Jubilee year. Some of his classmates were the late Coach Chito Calvo, Sen. Jose Diokno, Rene Kahn, Augusto Syjuco, Carlos Valdes and Enrique Valles.
